– Everyone speaks Spanish in Valencia, making it a great place to brush up on your language skills, unlike in bigger cities where everyone will speak English due to being more touristy! The accent is very neutral and there is a wealth of Spanish academies across the city, making it one of the best and easiest places to learn Spanish!

– If you want to live near the beach, but don’t want to give up city life in order to do so, Valencia is for you! The beach is just a ten minute trip from the city centre.

– The food is simply spectacular. Valencia is famous for its rice dishes, including, of course, the paella. Everyone in Spain knows that Valencia is the place to go if you want to enjoy (or learn to cook) a truly authentic paella!
